My new book My Dog is as Smelly as Dirty Socks arrived yesterday fresh from the printer!
I would like to thank my editor wonderful Annie Kelley who came up with the smart idea of a book about visual and linguistic metaphors.
Published by Random House' s (semi) new imprint Schwartz & Wade Books, it will be out in May.
(don't you worry, Ill remind you :-&...)

Congrats! Can't wait to see it on the shelves, and in the hands of the people standing on line for the cashier!

Leo Espinosa March 13, 2007
Did you see my post from yesterday? I love to see all these kids into books (die, you filthy playstation you!) Could that be a good idea for the Madrid project?
Nancy Stahl March 13, 2007
Great..! And as rag said: more, please.
Steve Brodner March 13, 2007

wow..one goes out to lunch and comes back to all these comments..fun! lets see..Nancy and Rag, I will post more soon...I read in my marketing guide for millionaire-wannabes that it is best to create interest slowly... Leo are you thinking of a drawger 'comic' book for madrid?.. maybe the theme could be something about 'what you see from one place you can't see from another'. love your hebrew writing..how did you do it, your mother in law again??
Leo Espinosa March 13, 2007
Yep, hebrew school with my mother-in law's mother (who's the one that think I'm Schpinoza, ha, ha). Man, the things I have to put up with to get good home made rugelach. About the comic, I don't know, I wanted you to know about it because there's being a nice response. But perhaps it's not for Madrid but a separate project. שפינוזה

"My Dog is as Smelly as Dirty Socks" ironically, the name of my late 70s punk band! congrats, hanoch!
Robert Hunt March 13, 2007
This is the perfect opportunity to employ "scratch and sniff" technology! Congrats!
Hanoch Piven March 13, 2007
Staake are you SERIOUS? you guys should be in the bill for the book party! who needs the half tones now! ok Spinoza it is!..that's your name for me from now on...or is Baruch better?
Cathleen Toelke March 13, 2007
Hanoch, I love the point of view, the child's, and that she asks the involvement of the reader in creating their own family portraits from objects. A very interesting twist. The Schwartz and Wade imprint is making its mark with books like yours. To the delight of parents, there will be little artists everywhere with endless boxes of object collections overflowing their bedrooms!
Adam McCauley March 13, 2007
Congrats Hanoch. I love how the dachshund wraps around the cover, so simple and great.
Mark Fisher March 13, 2007
Hanoch, My socks are as smelly as my dirty dog. Congratulations!
Leo Espinosa March 13, 2007
Ha, ha. I'm busted! I did copy/paste from the wrong hebrew text. My next try will be "dirty socks" in japanese.
Hanoch Piven March 13, 2007
